What are the benefits of purchasing a used vehicle through the Honda CPO Program?

When it comes to purchasing a pre-owned vehicle, you have far more options than you might think. While you could certainly purchase any make or model that we have in our used vehicle inventory here at Honda of Marysville, you’d be much better off buying a certified pre-owned Honda vehicle instead. You can get in touch with us for specific limited-warranty information on other models, but when it comes to buying used Honda vehicles there are three different levels within the Honda CPO Program – called HondaTrue – from which you can choose. HondaTrue Used

The first and most basic level to the Honda CPO Program is called HondaTrue Used. These models aren’t actually considered Certified Pre-Owned, but they are used Honda vehicles. They can range anywhere from 2013 to 2023 and have no mileage limit, which is typically the reason they can’t be considered CPO. Purchasing one of these models will still come with a host of benefits, including two limited warranties for 100 days or 5,000 miles, both powertrain and non-powertrain coverage.

Other benefits include roadside assistance, one complimentary oil change within the first year of ownership, a three-day exchange policy, trip interruption, concierge service, 90 days of SiriusXM satellite radio, Honda Care eligibility and a $0 deductible for repairs.

HondaTrue Certified

For the next step up in the chain, a HondaTrue Certified vehicle must have less than 80,000 miles on the odometer and be a 2018 to 2023 model year Honda vehicle. This model comes with a seven-year, 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty as well a non-powertrain warranty that depends on certain criteria. If the vehicle is purchased while still within its New Vehicle Limited Warranty period, then the limited warranty is extended to four years and 48,000 miles. If the vehicle is purchased after that warranty expires, then you’ll receive a one-year, 12,000-mile limited warranty starting from the date of delivery. It has all the same extra benefits as HondaTrue Used, except it receives two complimentary oil changes within the first year of ownership.

HondaTrue Certified+

Finally, HondaTrue Certified+ is exactly the same as HondaTrue Certified except it offers different non-powertrain coverage within its limited warranty. Certified+ is only available on 2022 or 2023 model year Honda vehicles with less than 12,000 miles on the odometer. These models get non-powertrain coverage for five years or 86,000 miles.
