The Latest Infotainment Tech Is Coming to the Honda Prologue
Does the Honda Prologue Come With Android Auto and Apple CarPlay?
Creating efficient vehicles is nothing new for the Honda brand, but now, Honda is taking things a step further with the debut of its first high-volume electric vehicle. It’s named the Prologue, and the entire auto industry is excited to get behind the wheel. Of course, there are tons of questions being asked about this brand new nameplate, but on this page, we’re going to focus specifically on the Prologue’s infotainment system and features.
Anyone who has been paying attention to the latest vehicles over the past 5 or so years will know that infotainment systems developed by auto manufacturers are no longer the sole option for utilizing the central touch screen in your vehicle. These days, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay have become popular across numerous brands, allowing you to seamlessly connect to many of your favorite smartphone apps. So, will the Prologue come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay when it releases for Honda’s 2024 model year?
2024 Prologue Infotainment Features
The simple answer to that question is “yes,” but there are some details we should discuss that are just as exciting as having those two systems available in the first place. Let’s dive in.
To start with, the particular versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available in the Prologue will be wireless. Many previous models throughout the auto world that feature CarPlay or Android Auto require you to plug your iPhone or Android smartphone into the vehicle using a USB charging cord. That will not be necessary in the Prologue.
This comes at a time when other brands are dropping support for such technologies. Although car manufacturers know cars best, Google and Apple know on-the-go technology best, and we’re happy that Honda has decided to incorporate the industry’s best in their latest vehicle.
The Prologue will also feature something called “Google built-in.” It’s standard on all Prologue trim levels. This feature allows you unique access to popular Google apps, such as the Google Assistant and Google Maps. On an EV like the Prologue, it can be particularly useful, as these Google apps can even help you find charging stations in the area and help you know whether you’ll have enough charge to reach your destination. The Prologue is the first Honda model to use this feature.

All of this will be displayed on an 11.3-inch central touch screen that has over-the-air software updates so that you always have the latest and greatest infotainment experience. Though this model is not on sale yet, you can expect to find it here at Honda of Marysville this fall 2023. Once available, we would be happy to set you up with a test drive behind the wheel of one of Honda’s most exciting new models in recent years.
