How to Care for Your Car When Autumn Arrives

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but it’s a good starting point!

• Pay attention to your tire pressure. The changing temperatures can cause your tire pressure to fluctuate. It’s going to start getting colder throughout the season, so you may walk to your car one morning as you head out to work and see that your tires are looking a little flat. Chances are your tires just need some more air as they get used to the new temperatures, so stop at the gas station on the way and fill them up. • Check your windshield wipers. Soon enough, that rain is going to become snow, and you don’t want to be caught in a snowstorm in a couple of months with subpar windshield wiper blades. Swap them out ahead of time.

• Put on a coat of wax. Waxing a car doesn’t just make it sparkle; it also offers some protection against minor scratches… the kind that can happen when some leaves or twigs pinpoint your vehicle as their desired landing spot!
• Top off necessary fluids. If you’re due for an oil change, get it done now. If not, still take a look at what may need topping off, like your washer fluid.
