What’s new for the 2023 Honda Accord
New Honda Accord
The Honda Motor Company sold its first car in the US in 1970. Since then, Honda has been ranked #20 for ‘The Best Global Brand’, according to research by Interbrand, with Honda vehicle sales of $22 billion. The Honda Accord has been around successfully since 1976.
The Honda Accord won 5 out of 5 stars safety ratings in 2022. It is projected to receive the same rating this year because the body is engineered to meet the high safety standards set by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
This year Honda has added more safety features and refined others. All vehicles now come standard with the latest and improved Honda Sensing® safety and driver assistive technologies (ADAS). In addition, next-generation front knee airbags and rear side impact airbags have been added. The front camera has been upgraded with a wider angle and radar sensors, with 82 feet of radar range, enabling it to detect potential hazards more effectively. Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)is a new safety feature to help navigate in stop and go traffic. There is an upgrade to the blind spot information system as well.
The top trim on Honda Accord will add Google built-in features such as Google Assistant for excellent voice control. Additionally, Google Maps and Google Play will also be available. The hybrid trims all come with the biggest touch screen ever at 12.3 inch and all trims include a 10.2 inch digital instrument cluster. The 2023 Accord has a sleek new design and 3 new colors.

There are 6 trim levels with 4 of them being hybrid models. The engines have been updated this year. The LX and EX combustion engine trims have a 192 horsepower turbocharged, 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, FWD engine. The hybrid models, Sport, Sport-L (L for leather), EX-L, and Touring, have 2 motors. A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline that combines 204 horsepower, and a lithium-ion battery pack. These vehicles represent an improvement over their predecessors which were already top-of-the-line.
