How Did the 2023 Civic Type R Beat the Record?

As for the technology behind this accomplishment, the team at Honda has truly fine-tuned the 2023 Civic Type R in every way imaginable. Starting with the 2.0-liter VTEC Turbo engine inherited from the previous-generation Civic Type R, the engine performance of the record-breaking model was further improved to deliver maximum output through the adoption of an all-new turbocharger as well as other advancements. Of course, this is just the beginning.

In addition to the engine enhancements, the 2023 Civic Type R also received various upgrades that leveled up its cooling performance, heat release, aerodynamics, downforce, high-speed stability, and so much more.
